History

UMC Medical Consultants, P.C. was founded in 1996 and is a non-treating medical facility that provides evidence-based, objective independent medical evaluations and other related health services throughout New York State and nationally.

UMC’s board-certified physicians and staff are experienced and professional with many years of insurance claims and medical expertise. We assist insurance companies, third party administrators, municipalities, attorneys and employers in the resolution of claims, while conducting ourselves with dignity, respect and fairness toward examinees, utilizing the highest standards of medical practice and procedures.

UMC is authorized to perform independent medical evaluations by the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board in accordance with Section 137 of the New York State WCL, Registration # 010003.
